Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Jefferson County was founded because of a local group of men realizing the need for protection that a mutual insurance company can provide. The company was chartered by the State of Tennessee Department of Insurance on August 4, 1909. The general welfare of society, not individual profit, was the object for which the Charter was granted. This remains the focus today. The company provides property insurance for many people in Jefferson and surrounding counties. Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Jefferson County is a proud member of N.A.M.I.C. (National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies) and T.A.M.I.C. (Tennessee Association of Mutual Insurance Companies. Our personal, farm, and church liability coverages are offered through Farmers Mutual of Tennessee.

She and her husband have 2 grown daughters. Julianne’s vision of her job with Farmers Mutual is to be there to help her customers as well as grow the company with honest hardworking dedication.

Teena Hammer has been with Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Jefferson County since October of 2002. She is a native of Jefferson County, living in both New Market and Dandridge. She has three grown children and lives with her husband in Dandridge. Her vision of her job with Farmers Mutual is to be there to help her customers to the very best of her ability in a friendly and professional manner.

Larry Ramsey has been with Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Jefferson County since 2001. He and his wife live in Cosby and have 2 grown sons. Larry is a native of Cocke county and former Newport business owner. He understands the importance of personal, dependable service. Larry represents the company as inspector and agent of new and renewal properties as well as claims inspections.
